2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Spied – Bigger Screen, Underbody CNG Tank, New Engine Incoming

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Spied With Major Cabin Updates – New Brezza Facelift Spotted Again

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift has been spied testing again, and this time the test mules are giving away more than before. Fresh spy shots from public roads show the updated compact SUV under heavy camouflage, but with a few details clearly visible. Here’s what the new Brezza facelift spotted footage confirms.

Bigger Touchscreen And Interior Upgrades

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Expected Larger Touchscreen And New Interior Upgrades
The updated Brezza cabin is expected to get a larger touchscreen, digital cluster, and ventilated front seats — features buyers currently get in rival SUVs like the Nexon and Venue.

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift spied images point to a noticeably updated cabin. A larger touchscreen unit is expected inside, along with other feature additions. Expected upgrades include a digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, and more. These are meaningful additions for a segment where buyers now compare the Brezza directly against the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue on features.

If the larger touchscreen makes it in, it would address one of the more common complaints current Brezza owners have about the interior feeling slightly behind its rivals.

Underbody CNG Tank – Boot Space Gets Fixed

Maruti Brezza Facelift Underbody CNG Tank Confirmed In Spy Shots
Unlike the current model where the CNG cylinder sits in the boot, the 2026 Brezza will move it to the underbody — the same setup Maruti already uses in the Victoris.

This is the most significant mechanical change confirmed so far. The Brezza will get an underbody CNG tank, a technology currently offered only with the Victoris mid-size SUV. Moving the CNG tank from the boot to the underbody will free up additional boot space.

That matters. The current CNG Brezza loses a chunk of its already modest boot to the cylinder, which is a real-world compromise for families. The underbody CNG setup would allow for unrestricted boot space along with the car’s strong fuel efficiency figures.

The current Brezza has a single CNG tank with a 55-litre capacity and an ARAI-certified mileage of 25.51 km/kg. Those numbers already beat the Nexon CNG comfortably. Add a usable boot and the CNG case for the Brezza gets a lot stronger.

New Engine On The Way

The Brezza facelift is expected to get a brand new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that Maruti has been working on. This would be a meaningful upgrade over the current naturally aspirated unit. The new engine will allow Maruti to make the most of GST 2.0 norms and price the SUV aggressively.

A turbo petrol option would also close the gap with the Nexon, which already offers a turbo-petrol CNG combination.

Exterior Changes

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Revised LED Tail Lights And New Alloy Wheels Spotted
Revised tail lights and a new alloy wheel design are visible even through the camouflage wrap on the 2026 Brezza test mule.

The test mule shows revised LED tail lights and a fresh set of alloy wheels. New front and rear bumpers, a revised grille, and tweaked headlamps are also likely. The overall shape stays the same – this is a facelift, not a redesign – but the changes look enough to make the car feel fresh on the road.

A new six-speed manual gearbox is also expected.

When Does It Launch And What Will It Cost?

Maruti could launch the Brezza facelift in the latter half of 2026, with prices expected between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 16.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). CarWale estimates the ex-showroom price range at Rs 8.90 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.

That keeps it competitive against the Nexon, Venue and Kia Sonet — all of which are seeing updates of their own.

Should You Wait For The New Brezza?

If you’re in the market for a fuel-efficient compact SUV and the CNG version is on your list, yes. The underbody tank plus the usable boot is a combination no other factory-fit CNG compact SUV offers right now. The larger screen and ventilated seats would round it out nicely.

If you need the car soon and the current Brezza fits your budget, the existing model is still one of the better CNG options in the segment. But the 2026 version looks meaningfully better across the board.
